Ege Choice

Ege Disability Support Office was established in 2008 in order to make the lives of students with disabilities who come to Ege University to study easier, to enable them be included in social life as independent and productive individuals. For this purpose, besides environmental arrangements, studies on preparing proper education materials, organizing activities and making TV programs for the students with disabilities have been conducted. The unit provides services for the academic and administrative staff as well as the students and carries out activities to increase awareness. All faculty and collage departments include an advisor academic member for our students with disabilities.

We have EYBIS (Unimpeded Guidance and Information) navigation program for the students with visual impairment and employees with disabilities to receive information about the settlements in the central campus, find their way without help, and decide on their route in the places where this system is installed.We have EBA (Unimpeded Information Assistant) for using our university’s website with the audio description and information system. Students with impairment who study at Ege University can benefit from Unimpeded Library in our Central Library.

Our students with visual impairment can receive their education materials as embossed printings with a printer and computer system in Ege University Turkish Music State Conservatory.

Ramps and pavements on the walking paths in Ege University Central Campus are suitable for the use of people with disabilities.
